9:00 - 11:00 "An ecological perspective for a standards-based approach to HL development"
Led by Shuhan Wang, National Foreign Language Center, Washington D.C.
11:15 - 1:15 Language-specific workshops were offered for attendees interested in instruction of the following languages: Arabic, Chinese, Hebrew, Korean, Persian, Russian, and Spanish. Workshop leaders presented innovative approaches to teaching heritage language learners and encouraged participation from the audience.
