Gage joined the Center in 2022 to assist with its vital academic work supporting a two-state solution in which Palestinians and Israelis could coexist in peace. This work has become increasingly crucial since the Oct 7 attacks and the ongoing devastation and horrific humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Gage is proud to have since coordinated and promoted dozens of events at UCLA featuring Palestinian, Israeli, and other international scholars, journalists, students, and artists who believe in ending the cycle of violence and bringing peace to Israel–Palestine.
Gage received his B.A. and M.A. in English Language and Literature at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he also taught an introductory course, “Composition & Rhetoric,” as a graduate student. After earning his Master’s degree, he spent time as an associate editor at a micropress in Portland, Oregon before becoming a copywriter at a digital marketing company in Orange County.
