Marjan is a Doctoral Candidate in the UCLA department of History, where she is advised by Nile Green and David Sabean. Marjan studies the educational flow of ideas between Afghanistan and Germany from 1919-1945 and is interested in tracing the production, dissemination, and transformation of ideas and identities through the medium of cultural interchange. To that end, Marjan is trained in both the South Asian and the European field.
She has obtained her B.A. and M.A. in History from the University of California, Irvine.
